How are you set up as a company?

SecTepe is Eckel SecTepe UG (haftungsbeschränkt), based in Wülfrath (North Rhine-Westphalia). Florian Eckel and David Tepe lead the company. We are owner-led and self-funded, with no external capital. That keeps our decisions and our advice independent for the long term.

Which certifications and memberships do you hold?

Our staff hold certifications such as CISSP, CISM, OSCP, OSWP, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer and Lead Auditor, and BSI IT-Grundschutz Practitioner. They also hold vendor certifications in cloud and networking. As a company, we are an Alliance for Cyber Security partner of the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). We are also an accredited advisor for the BAFA and "go-digital" funding programmes.

Which sectors do you work with most often?

We work across the German mid-market. Our focus is on manufacturing, trades, healthcare, financial services, energy supply, logistics, the public sector and specialised IT service providers. For each sector we keep a dedicated pool of templates, risk libraries and regulatory references.

Do you work with partners?

Yes. We work with a network of specialised lawyers (data protection, IT contract law, criminal law), tax advisors, insurance brokers, cyber-forensics labs and other specialists. These partners add to our core skills exactly where needed. SecTepe remains your single point of contact.
