All-in-One Communication Suite

SecTepe.Comm– Communication, collaboration & security from one source

SecTepe.Comm is one open-source platform for all the ways your company talks, inside and out. You host it yourself. It brings together chat, video calls, file storage and the Intermal ERP. It adds one central login (single sign-on) and a SIEM that reports attacks. Telephony is in development. All of it comes in one suite with enterprise-grade security.

Your alternative to

  • Microsoft 365 / Teams
  • Google Workspace
  • Slack + Zoom
  • Salesforce + HubSpot
  • Cloud PBX providers
  • Mimecast / Proofpoint

Integrated services

All services run in one orchestrated stack. You manage them from one place. They share one login, and data is encrypted end to end.

Deployment & operations

You can run SecTepe.Comm the way that suits you. Start small on a single server with containers. Or go big with a highly available Kubernetes setup and GitOps.

  • • A single server with containers for a quick start at small firms
  • • Kubernetes for large firms and high availability
  • • Optional GitOps: settings come from a Git repository
  • • Backup of all data and state
  • • 100% open source, so no license cost and no lock-in

Your benefits

  • ✓Privacy: All data stays on your own systems. Nothing leaks to the cloud.
  • ✓Zero-trust architecture: mTLS, SSO, MFA, WAF and SIEM are built in from the start.
  • ✓Scalable: It fits 10 users or 10,000. The platform and the way you manage it stay the same.

How the SecTepe.Comm building blocks work together

SecTepe.Comm is more than a set of tools. About 40 open-source components and SecTepe's own services share one base. It includes one entry point for all web traffic, one central sign-in and a shared bus for events. On Kubernetes, mutual TLS (mTLS) also encrypts traffic between all services.

One identity for every service

One login covers the whole suite. It speaks OIDC and supports MFA with an app code (TOTP) or a security key (WebAuthn). Apps without their own OIDC support are checked at the central entry point first. So your staff sign in once and then reach chat, mail and files.

SecTepe adds its own login extensions. One syncs groups into the chat. Another checks new passwords against known leaks. An AD connector brings in users from your on-prem Active Directory. A bridge based on the SCIM standard does the same for cloud directories such as Azure AD or Okta.

Events instead of point-to-point links

Services report what happens as events on a shared bus. Every event uses the same format. The web UI shows new events live. Each person only sees what is meant for them, their group or their role.

Rules and workflows turn events into actions. A severe SIEM alert can, for example, land in a chat room or start a workflow.

Ways to run it

  • Containers on one server. You switch extra modules on with profiles. A lite setup runs only the base stack.
  • Kubernetes with GitOps. The cluster follows the state in your Git repository.
  • Networks without internet, with a local copy of all container images in fixed versions.
  • Your choice of provider. Ready-made templates cover IONOS, Hetzner and private OpenStack clouds.
  • Branch offices, with a small package in containers or on a lightweight Kubernetes.

Data sovereignty and trust

You run every component yourself, on your own servers or with an EU provider such as IONOS. Passwords and keys live in a central vault. Services can use it to encrypt stored data.

The SecTepe code is licensed under Apache 2.0. The open-source parts run unchanged at their core. Container images are digitally signed. They ship with a software bill of materials (SBOM) in CycloneDX and SPDX format.

Technical foundation

SecTepe.Comm builds on proven open-source parts: Matrix for chat, Jitsi for video, Nextcloud for files and Keycloak for sign-in. Others include Mailcow, Wazuh, Traefik, n8n, NATS, OpenBao and Linkerd.

Common questions

Can each customer get its own environment? Yes, in the dedicated model. The customer gets its own virtual Kubernetes cluster, its own login area (realm) and its own database. Even the smaller dedicated-lite model has its own realm.

How do I back up my data? On Kubernetes, a backup service saves the state of all services. Restore drills check that a restore really works.

Do I have to run every module? No. A minimal core with chat, mail, sign-in and the central entry point runs on its own. You add other modules when you need them.

How we work with you

We want to work with you for the long run, not just deliver once. Our way of working has four steps. So you always know what comes next, who does what and what you get.

1. Free initial conversation

We learn where you stand and what you want. In 30 to 45 minutes we check if we are a good fit. We show you options and answer your questions. There is no obligation.

2. Current state review

We check where you stand today: tech, processes and rules. You get a list of strengths and gaps, sorted by urgency. Our offer is based on it.

3. Delivery with a dedicated lead

An experienced lead guides you through the project. You get clear goals, an open plan for time and cost, and a status every week. All results are written down and belong to you.

4. Running and reviewing

After the project we stay with you. We run systems for you, check them at set times and keep track of open tasks. When new threats or new rules come up, we get in touch.

Common questions

We hear these questions most often in a first call. For anything else, write to hello@sectepe.de or give us a call.

How do we start working with SecTepe?
Every project starts with a free first call. Then you get an offer with scope, timeline and result. If you like, we start small with a pilot. That way you get to know us before the real work starts.
What company sizes and sectors do you support?
We work for small and mid-sized firms, for parts of large groups and for operators of critical infrastructure (KRITIS). Often that means industry, trades, health, banks, energy and public bodies. Our focus is mid-sized firms in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Do you work on site, remotely or hybrid?
Both. Reviews, advice and most services run remotely from German data centers. For workshops, training and emergencies we come to you, mainly in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Rhineland and the Ruhr area. We travel further when needed.
Which standards and regulations do you cover?
We work to ISO 27001:2022, BSI IT-Grundschutz, TISAX, B3S KRITIS, NIS2 and DORA, plus sector-specific rules. Our methods build on known frameworks such as NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP and OSSTMM. We combine them to fit each project.
How do you protect the confidentiality of my data?
By contract and by technology. Before every project, both sides sign a non-disclosure agreement. Your data stays in German data centers. Every access needs a second login factor and is checked one by one. Our whole team is bound to secrecy by contract and under the GDPR.
